Typeface design plan
Dear valued client,
While the process of creating fonts my seem very difficult at times, It may not be that complicated. Let me walk you through a series of tasks to create some good fonts for you. The materials we shall need will be: 1 graphic design program for our graphic font which could either look industrial or classy, depending on what you want, 1 paper and 1 pencil or art brush& paint for a hand written font that should look very nice, and finally, some natural objects or enough of anything to make a sculpture. We should stick to either clay or bees to create a simple but sculptural font.
Now creating the work of text which you will enjoy may startle the average non-graphical-designer, it is actually simple and I will show you how it is done. First we will set out a series of peaks and patterns from the website url page http://www.fontstruct.com/fontstructor to design a unique and fun font to suite your needs. The theme for this font will be a rough face with jagged edges or a display of expressing the contrast of the different corners and poins in this font. For the handwritten font, I will use a blank white page and either draw in paint, pencil, or even with a marker. I will probably create multiple layers to bring out the unique patterns and give it more depth. The theme of watercolor cursive could look very nice if you add multiple layers in this handwritten font. The next font we will work on is creating a sculptural font. This will need to be 3-dimensional so I may gather the supplies clay blocks, bees, or crumpled hund dollar bills (obviously fake). I will arrange these supplies into a pattern that is both stunning and creative. The theme will obviously be whatever supply I use for this sculptural font. I hope this letter has made it easy to understand the process of creating a series of fonts.

I realized that there is a lot of work in making different fonts but it shouldn't be as important in your life as other things. Some of the older type-face creators had gone too far into the layouts and kinds of texts so that they can never look at an advertisement again without focusing on the type of text that it is written in. They could never look at a commercial or physical ad for the true purpose of seeing the advertised product. I am not really passionate about different typefaces and would instead focus on the other elements and pictures in the ad. I think that it is cool that there are so many different kinds of fonts that were individually designed but I wouldn't base my entire life on it.

What is Graphic Design?
^ ^
Graphic Design to me is all forms of art/media in forms of images or logos or even artwork that was made through technology or similar styles. It could be the logo for a company or an art project or a t-shirt design. To me, just messing around in photoshop with different designs or creating a youtube homepage can be graphic design. For skype and related sites, I often make my own profile pics with photoshop or logos/cool designs. It is a form of commercial art and mixed media commonly used to express your style and show your signature through art or design.
